Millie's Garden Flip Mini Album

Hello everyone.  Well the weather down here has turned from the beautiful glorious Autumn days to wet, cold and miserable.  It has been this way for more than a week now.....and the view from my craft room went from this

to this.........

It may not look it, but it is very bleak and cold.  Just perfect for hibernating in my scrap room and creating.

So whilst it has done nothing but rain for the last week and I half.....I have done nothing but scrap, scrap, scrap!!  Oh and a bit of sleeping here and there.....some housework and the a bit of time chatting!! No better make that a lot of time chatting hey Faith and Caroline!!

This mini is a flip mini, made to open vertically.  The papers I have used for this are produced by Grant Archival .  You can find them at Grant Studio Design  and at facebook Grant Studios.  This paper is from Grace Taylor's collection "Millies Garden".... I just loved them!!  I have tried to use them up as much as possible by making tags, flowers and pockets from it all.  I have embellished with a few stickers, Journalling cards and note cards..... So here are the pics....sorry about there being so many, not the easiest mini album to photograph !!

This is mini was divided up into three main sections.  The first section is the pictured above with a pocket and two double sided photo mats.  Then the middle or second section pictured below has a "mini" version of a gatefold or gatefold pages.  These pages have lots of place to put photo's and journalling

 

  Then the third section of the flip out mini house a small booklet which I have bound with my zutter 

and attached to the back of the last flap with a piece of 

cardstock 1 1/2 inches wide and covered with paper so that it blends in.  

Each tab or page in this booklet has more photo mats and journalling spots.

A layout!!

I did it!! I actually created a layout with some of those Autum photo's taken just recently.  I have followed a sketch over at Blue Fern Studios and submitted it for their May challenge.  The sketch went something like this...

 So here is my take and a bit of photographic journey of how I got there:-

Added some random stamping 

More random stamping

and even more random stamping

Played around with placing of goodies!!

Nearly there!!

Added some fibres

I rarely do layouts, but I was inspired by the sketch and motivated by the photo's taken a few posts back...just love how this has turned out.  Thanks for following along.
